To add a new account:
- Open Outlook.
- If this is the first time you started Outlook a wizard for Outlook Startup should appear. Select Next.
- If this is not the first time you started Outlook click File, then Add Account.
- If it asks if you would like to configure an E-mail account click Next.
- Select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and click Next.
- Select “Internet E-mail” and click Next.
- “Your Name” is the name you would like others to see when they receive email from you.
- Your email address is the “name@yourdomain.com” address requested to be setup.
- The Incoming (POP3 or IMAP) mail server is pop.yourdomain.com or pop.binary.net.
- The Outgoing (SMTP) mail server is your ISP’s mail server. Common examples are
smtp.binary.net
smtp-auth.binary.net (requires authentication)
smtp-server.neb.rr.com
smtp.windstream.net - Your User Name/Password are the username (or pop number) and password that were given to you when you requested the account.
- If your Outgoing server requires authentication click More Settings …
- Select the Outgoing Server tab and make sure “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” or “Log on using” is selected.
- Select the Advanced tab and if you are using POP3 make sure “Leave a copy of messages on the server” and at least “Remove from server when deleted from ‘Deleted Items’” is selected and click OK.
- Click Next for finish your setup.
To edit an existing account:
- Open Outlook.
- Click File at the top left.
- Drop down Account Settings and select Accounts Settings.
- Click on the E-mail tab. Select the mail account that you want to change, and click “Change…”.
- Incoming mail server is pop.yourdomain.com or pop.binary.net
- Outgoing mail server is Your ISP’s mail server. Common examples are:
smtp.binary.net
smtp-auth.binary.net (requires authentication)
smtp-server.neb.rr.com
smtp.windstream.net
- Click Next, Finish, then Close to finish.
