Where do I find HTTP logs?
- Currently, only virtual hosting and dedicated server accounts have their separate HTTP logs available.
- If you have a unix based virtual host with Binary Net, your statistics should be available at
http://www.yourdomain.com/stats . If you prefer not to have this data publicly available, you are free to use standard means of protection, including password protection, or static access limitation using allow and deny directives in .htaccess file in the respective directory.
- By default log files do not have IP addresses of the clients, accessing your site, resolved into host names, since this can be really slow, and might severely impact your virtual server performance. If you prefer to have IP addresses resolved into names, please let support@binary.net know.
- We will not turn on domain names resolution for our servers, hosting personal web page, unless your request a custom statistics solution at an extra cost.
- It is not a good idea to manually make any changes to index.html in your
stats directory, since they will be overwritten when the statistics are updated by the system.
- All logfiles are kept for 30 days and older records are purged nightly.
- All statistics are generated once a day, at night. Exact times vary from one virtual host to another, in order to distribute the processing load.
- If you have any special needs for custom statistics generation or custom log processing, it is available at an extra cost.
Please contact support@binary.net if you have any further questions .
