Mac OSX DSL Setup
Dynamically Assigned IP (more info)
- Start your computer.
- Click on the Apple icon located in the menu bar at the upper left corner of your desktop.
- Choose "System Preferences..." from the pop-up list.
- Click on the Network Control Panel.
- From the "Location:" pop-up list, select "Automatic..."
- Click the "TCP/IP" tab.
- From the "Configure:" pop-up list in the lower portion of the control panel, select "using DHCP".
- In the "Domain Servers Field", type 216.229.0.16 first. Directly underneath, type 216.229.0.25.
- Click "Save".
Static IP (more info)
- Start your computer.
- Click on the Apple icon located in the menu bar at the upper left corner of your desktop.
- Choose "System Preferences..." from the pop-up list.
- Click on the Network Control Panel.
- From the "Location:" pop-up list, select "Automatic..."
- Click the "TCP/IP" tab.
- From the "Configure:" pop-up list in the lower portion of the control panel, select "Manually", and enter your IP address, the router IP, and the subnet mask as given to you by support.
- In the "Domain Servers Field", type 216.229.0.25 first. Directly underneath, type 216.229.0.06.
- Click "Save".
